RYA Yachtmaster Theory Course

This is an advanced theory course required prior to RYA Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore practical courses. The course is ideal for those who do not want to stop at the basic skipper qualification level and wish to further develop their sailing knowledge and skills.

Candidate requirements: knowledge and skills to the level of Day Skipper Shorebased.

The course consists of 7 weekend sessions: 28-29th of November, 5-6th, 12-13th und 19th of December 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00 at Finkenstr. 11, 85416 Langenbach (just a 5-minute walk from Langenbach railway station).

This will be an intensive classroom learning combined with homework during the week. The course includes three written exams: IRPCS (Collision Regulations), Chartwork and Passage Making (two sections). Participants who successfully complete the exams will receive an RYA certificate.
